ABOUT US 

We're so thankful that you stopped by! Even though it's hard to feel the heartbeat of a church through a screen our prayer is that by clicking around and watching one of our services online you'll be moved to join us in person in the near future! At Colbert we seek to grow individuals and families in their walk, their understanding of the Word of God and their service through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are a member of the Southern Baptist Convention and operate in full agreement with 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. Locally we are an active member of the Sarepta Association which is headquartered in Athens.

We offer a blended worship style with a full praise band and praise team with songs you might have heard going to church as a child mixed with songs you would hear on any contemporary Christian radio station today. Dress is generally business casual with some dressing a little more relaxed and others dressing a little more nicely.

Colbert has a rich history of helping the community in various ways. What started as a small, standalone brick sanctuary has grown to a beautiful facility that hosts all kinds of groups, functions, worship styles, and outreach efforts. Regardless of the size the goal has been the same: make Jesus known to all people and help those in need however we can.
